Biathlon-In-A-Box Timer Setup The screen seen below is an example of the type of information that is specified for each Timer, to allow BIAB to reliably gather the data that you are seeking. To date, BIAB has been programmed to accept data from five different timers, from four different manufacturers, as well as from some target systems and from one transponder/chip identification system. BIAB can probably be made to work with any timer that you might have, provided that it has an RS-232 (Serial Port) interface capability. Computers that do not have Serial Ports can easily be adapted, with a simple plug-in adapter, to work with an RS-232 device.
The image below shows the much more complex set-up that can be used for a network of timers and an electronic target system. With such a set-up BIAB is gathering large amounts of data from all parts of the competition venue.
